Casa de Amistad GuesthouseLet us create a vacation for you that will send you home rested, rejuvenated and restored.

Casa de Amistad is a cozy seven room guesthouse on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico that has its guests as the primary focus.  There are seven rooms of various configurations.  At maximum capacity, Amistad can accommodate twenty individuals.  On the first level, a wide front porch with a cafe table and wicker chairs greets our guests.  Entering the lobby, a small honor bar (that has an intriguing legend) is available for beverages to be enjoyed there or to take poolside.  Opposite the bar is a small gallery of local artwork and gifts.  Next to the lobby is a small sitting room with books, books, books... and yes, music and a television with satellite dish.  The back of the building is a small cafe for morning coffee.  There is a large, fully furnished warming kitchen that is common to house.  The refrigerator, stove, microwave, sinks, dishes are all availabe to the guests.  The backyard is a beautiful courtyard garden and small fresh water pool.  The pool has a special filtration system that eliminates the need for strong chemicals.  The water is as fresh as a mountain stream.

The second story contains four guestrooms with private baths, and two guestrooms that have private but separate baths.  All rooms are air conditioned and have a small beverage refrigerator.  There is also a small covered balcony in the front for guests to gather and meet and a rooftop deck for sun and stars.

Certainly you will spend several days exploring the miles of white sand, clear blue water beaches... Maybe you'll play in the waves one day at Navio beach,  find a quiet secluded calm beach another day, snorkel the next day, and just read and relax on the beach another day.   Perhaps you want to hike or ride bikes in the undeveloped acres of land on the west side of the island (the birds and plants will amaze you).  You should make time to see the many art galleries, the Fort (museum), an archeological dig, or just sit at one of the many beach side cafes and sip pina coladas...  At night, you MUST experience the bioluminescent bay, wonderful restaurants, or just stay home by the pool and read that novel you've always meant to read.

So, welcome to the Casa de Amistad web site.  Here you can learn about the guesthouse, Vieques, and your next vacation.
